Their journey into wildlife education began with Bridget’s passion for wildlife science and her experience working with venomous snakes. Over time, their platform evolved, incorporating a variety of animals to provide a holistic understanding of wildlife and conservation.

Nowadays, their life revolves around a busy schedule of wildlife shows, with an average of three to four shows per week during school terms and even more during holidays. From schools to clubs, their audience spans across different demographics, catering to both children and adults alike.

Meet the Stars of the Show! From reptiles like Reggie the black-headed python to mammals like Barty the bare-nosed wombat, Bridget and Soph’s fauna family encompasses a diverse range of species. Each animal plays a unique role in their educational demonstrations, captivating audiences with their fascinating traits and behaviors.

Central to their mission is ensuring the well-being of their animal ambassadors. Through enrichment activities and positive reinforcement training, Bridget and Soph ensure that their animals enjoy what they’re doing while also being prepared for their showtime.

EDUCATION AT THE Frontline of Conservation:

Bridget and Soph firmly believe that education is the frontline of conservation. By providing hands-on experiences and sharing captivating stories about their animal ambassadors, they aim to inspire people to take action in protecting wildlife and their habitats.

Their education platform extends beyond live shows, encompassing social media channels where they share engaging content and encourage simple actions that individuals can take to make a difference. From planting native trees to using eco-friendly products, they empower their audience to become stewards of the environment.

Sending a message

Bridget and Soph are a wealth of knowledge on all things Australian wildlife! And while their role is primarily about sharing that knowledge and passion with their guests, they also deliver important conservation messages! Whether it’s about demonstrating we can all take positive steps to save the planet – like using bamboo toothbrushes, reducing our waste or emissions – or about being responsible pet owners, outdoor campers and adventurers to reduce your impact on wildlife, the Wildlife Twins use humour and education to spread awareness and inspire positive change for wildlife conservation.

Bridget and Soph’s journey is fuelled by a deep admiration for the awe-inspiring world of wildlife. By sharing the superpowers of animals and nature, they highlight the remarkable resilience of creatures like snakes, emphasizing the simplicity and beauty of nature’s design. They share –

“We talk about animals and the superpowers they have – and then we give them a simple task to do when they go home, maybe buying a bamboo toothbrush or planting a native tree. Anybody can do that. You know, we’re not asking you to donate a million dollars or become a full-time wildlife carer, that’s not the point. Most people aren’t going to do that. If everybody does little things, then we can all make a bigger difference – and that’s the point of our show!”

“We highlight the awesomeness of wildlife and talk about how we can help them!”

Harnessing the Power of Social Media

Recognizing the immense reach and potential of social media, Bridget and Soph advocate for leveraging platforms like TikTok and YouTube as potent tools for wildlife education. They emphasize the importance of embracing social media’s evolving landscape, acknowledging its capacity to foster meaningful connections and disseminate valuable knowledge.

In their pursuit of wildlife advocacy, Bridget and Soph navigate the highs and lows of social media with resilience and humour. They confront misunderstandings and negativity head-on, transforming adverse situations into opportunities for laughter and growth. Their lighthearted approach underscores the importance of maintaining perspective and authenticity in the digital realm.

Balancing Passion and Practicality

As wildlife enthusiasts juggling multiple responsibilities, Bridget and Soph offer insights into managing time effectively while pursuing their passions. They emphasize the significance of authenticity, initiative, and continual learning in fostering meaningful connections and driving positive change.

Empowering Others to Make a Difference

They advocate for education, open-mindedness, and kindness as foundational principles for effecting change and fostering a harmonious coexistence with nature.
